Principal’s Message

At Seaway District High School, we strive to promote a culture of learning: a culture that challenges our students and staff to be lifelong learners, to be curious, to explore, to think critically, and to apply all of our learning to the wider community.  We work together to help ensure our students develop all the skills and aptitudes necessary to be successful in our fast-paced and ever-changing world.

We also value character education … emphasizing on a daily basis the UCDSB character virtues of caring, courage, empathy, fairness, generosity, honesty, perseverance, resilience, respect, and responsibility.  We believe in cultivating good citizenship in all of our students – to encourage them to be kind, to look out for others, and to value diversity.

We hope to see all of our students find a club, team, or other co-curricular activity that will allow them to experience aspects of school life beyond the classroom and to help them develop into the leaders of the next generation.

At Seaway District High School, we understand the great privilege connected to working with youth, helping to teach and to guide them along their path to becoming positive contributors within our community.  We take this privilege seriously, and welcome parent and/or guardian feedback.
We are proud to be a part of the Upper Canada District School Board and its focus on preparing all students for a successful life.

Here is to a wonderful 2023-2024 school year!
